Hyundai shot high with the Genesis as its first vehicle that would be considered premium. The Genis featured a comfortable interior with power windows, seats, locks and mirrors and included USB ports and iPod integration. The first generation Genesis came with many powertrain options from two different V6s, a 4.6L V8 and even a 5.0L V8. Hyundai kept up the high-class designs and features with the Genesis until it was discontinued in 2016.

Hyundai Genesis FAQs

The Genesis uses the large BCI Group Size 95R or 49 battery. It's always best to verify what you need before making a purchase by looking under the hood or trunk, in the owner's manual or using our fitment finder.

The life of a battery in your Genesis will depend on its maintenance and use. Most batteries will last 3-5 years if they are properly maintained. However, if you neglect your battery and don't check for corrosion and clean the terminals with a terminal cleaner, it could need replacing much sooner.

The battery for the Hyundai Genesis is located in the trunk by the spare tire. A vent tube is used to vent the gasses from the battery to the outside to reduce fumes escaping into the trunk and passenger compartment.
