Visit Batteries Plus for your auto battery replacement needs. At Batteries Plus, we carry top-quality flooded and AGM batteries for your Kia Sedona minivan. The battery in your Sedona should last you around 3-5 years. If your battery is older than that, or if you've been having a hard time turning over your engine, Batteries Plus will test your current battery for free. If you purchase a new battery, we'll happily install it for no additional charge (valid at participating locations, on most vehicle makes and models). Plus, we sell additional essentials like replacement headlight bulbs, jumper cables and more in our Auto Center.

What Info Do I Need to Buy a Car Battery?

  • You can find the correct group battery size   for your Sedona in your owner's manual or by looking this information up online
  • Your owner's manual will also tell you the recommended CCA rating for your vehicle
  • CCAs (cold cranking amps)   help you estimate how well a battery will perform in zero degree weather
  • The higher the number of CCAs on a battery, the easier it will start your engine in the cold
  • Do not buy a battery with a lower CCA rating than your Sedona requires
  • If you live in a very cold climate, you can buy a battery with a higher CCA rating than your vehicle requires

What is the Difference Between Flooded and AGM Batteries?

  • Flooded batteries are the most basic type of auto battery and have the lowest upfront cost
  • An AGM battery costs more, but has more power, for more reliable starting power in extreme hot and cold
  • AGM batteries also recharge faster and last 2-3X longer than flooded batteries
  • If your Sedona originally came with an AGM battery installed, you have to replace it with another AGM battery
  • If your Sedona originally came with a flooded battery, it's okay to replace it with another flooded battery, or you can upgrade to an AGM option

Kia Sedona FAQs

The cost of a replacement battery will depend on the type of battery you choose. Flooded batteries cost less upfront, but don't last as long as an AGM battery. An AGM battery will cost you more right away, however, since they last 2-3X longer, many people save money in the long run with an AGM battery.
