How Do I Know What Battery to Get for My Car?

An auto battery typically lasts 3-5 years. If your battery is older than that, you should have it tested. If you're having a hard time starting your engine, notice that your headlights appear dimmer, or are experiencing issues with your onboard technology, there's a good chance your battery needs to be replaced.

The type of battery you select will determine cost. Flooded batteries offer the most affordable upfront option. Since AGM batteries last longer, however, they are typically a better longer term investment than a flooded battery.
