For the 2015 model year Subaru, one of the world's most well known all-wheel-drive car makers, released their entry into the crossover market with the introduction of the Subaru Crosstrek. The Crosstrek was Subaru's first real entry into the off-road world as well. Their other models were great when it came to mild off-road adventures but the Crosstrek was the first designed for off-road first. Higher ground clearance, more aggressive off-road settings and weather resistant interior features were just some of the enhancements to this great off-road ready crossover.

Be confident and ready to go on an adventure at any time with a high quality battery from Batteries Plus. Stop into a store near you to see our extensive selection of car batteries for your Crosstrek from great brands like Duracell Ultra, Optima and our exclusive brand X2Power. Buying the right battery for your car is incredibly important. In "How Do I Know Which Car Battery Fits My Car?  " we'll walk you through all of the ways you can look up which battery is a fit for your car.

Subaru Crosstrek FAQs

The Subaru Crosstrek can use both Flooded and AGM batteries in all model years. AGM batteries will give you more cranking power, vibration resistance and more resilience to extreme temperatures than flooded batteries will. Common BCI Group Sizes seen in Crosstrek's are the 34 and 35. Make sure you verify in your owner's manual, look under the hood or use the fitment finder before purchasing to make sure you get the right battery. In our recent article, you'll learn why you don't want to install the wrong size battery   in your Crosstrek.

Battery replacements for the Subaru Crosstrek will range anywhere from $180 for a Duracell Ultra flooded battery all the way to $350 for a premium AGM X2Power battery. Expert installation is available (fees may apply) for most vehicles so why not have your new battery installed by a Batteries Plus professional while you wait?

Take care of your Crosstrek's battery and you should get an average of 3 - 5 years out of it. Make sure you are routinely checking the battery terminals for corrosion and removing it if there is any with a terminal cleaner. Help keep your battery healthy by reducing short trips so the alternator has time to recharge the battery as you drive. If you don't take care of your battery you could be replacing it much earlier than expected.
