Subaru Outback FAQs

Your Subaru Outback will generally be equipped with a flooded lead-acid battery. However, this doesn't mean that you have to stick with a flooded battery. Batteries Plus carries a large selection of flooded, AGM and Premium AGM batteries that are a perfect fit for your car. Just remember, if your car came from the factory with an AGM battery, you cannot downgrade to a flooded battery.

How long a battery will last will depend on its use. Most Subaru Outback batteries will last 3-5 years if they are taken care of. However, if you neglect your battery and don't clean the terminals to remove any corrosion, it could need replacing much sooner.

Replacement batteries for your Outback will range in price from around $175 for a Duracell Ultra flooded battery and up to $350 for an Optima Yellow Top premium AGM battery. All Subaru Outback batteries come with free replacement warranties that range anywhere from 2 to 4 years.
