Zenn Neighborhood Electric Vehicle FAQs

The Zenn Neighborhood Electric Vehicle requires 6 lead acid batteries to operate. It runs on a 72V system, 6 12V batteries = 72V, and you should replace all 6 batteries at the same time for the best experience. The batteries can be charged up in about 8 hours using a standard wall outlet.

In the Neighborhood Electric Vehicle you'll find the BCI Group Size 31 battery being used. It's always best to verify what you need before making a purchase by looking under the hood, in the owner's manual or using our fitment finder.

The batteries in your Zenn will typically last around 3-5 years if you just have it installed and leave it alone. Just like they would in a normal internal combustion setup on a non-electric car. If you perform routine maintenance to check for corrosion and remove it from the battery terminals with a terminal cleaning kit, the battery could last you much longer.
