The tube functions as a normal single-ended lamp, providing a brightness output of 1595 lumens and 145 lm/W (lumens per watt) efficiency. During a loss of power, the light switches over to emergency mode, providing a minimum of 90 minutes of backup lighting. In backup mode, the RedCap maintains an initial battery light output of 1200 lumens and a maintained output of around 600 lumens. After the emergency is over, the light's internal batteries will automatically recharge themselves once the light is turned off.
