Before you go any further: After 2011, the word “Dodge” was dropped from the Ram truck. Before 2011, of course, they were known as Dodge Ram trucks, with the make name before the model. This information will help you when searching for parts and accessories for your vehicle.

When should you replace your Dodge Ram 1500 battery? The battery in your Dodge Ram 1500 will typically last 3-5 years. When the battery begins to fail, you'll notice a decline in its performance. A failing battery will have a much harder time starting your engine. You may also notice that the electronics in your Dodge Ram truck don't work as efficiently or see corrosion building up on the battery terminals. If you notice any of these symptoms, bring your Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck to your neighborhood Batteries Plus and have it tested, free of charge.

At Batteries Plus, you'll find a wide variety of batteries for your Dodge Ram 1500, Ram 1500 TRX or Ram 1500 Classic. We have top-quality replacement batteries from brands like Duracell and X2Power. Best of all, if you purchase a new battery from us, we'll be happy to install it for you (valid on most makes & models).

Your Dodge Ram 1500 runs on a 12-volt auto battery. When selecting a new replacement battery for your Ram 1500, the first thing you need to do is determine what size battery you need. Vehicle manufacturers list a specific BCI (Battery Council International) group number for every model they produce. You can find the correct model number for your Ram 1500 in your owner's manual or using one of the many tools available online.

Once you have the correct BCI group number, you can determine what type of replacement battery you want for your Ram 1500: flooded, AGM or TPPL AGM. Flooded batteries are the most affordable, but may require additional maintenance. AGM batteries last longer and perform better than flooded batteries, however, they cost more upfront. Our X2Power TPPL (Thin Plate Pure Lead) AGM batteries are the longest-lasting, best-performing auto batteries on the market. They recharge much faster than both flooded and AGM options and provide the most reliable starting power for your Dodge Ram 1500, regardless of the weather.

In addition to batteries, Batteries Plus also offers a variety of automotive essentials in our Auto Center. Shop our selection of headlight bulbs, windshield wiper blades, spare auto fuses and more. We also offer a number of truck battery chargers to help maintain your battery and jump starters to help get your motor started if your battery fails. If you need a key fob replacement, most of our locations cut keys and program new fobs and keyless entry remotes.
